JENGZ Loquat Branding - Case Study

From AI-generated placeholder to a brand ready to make loquat iconic.
The brief: Packaging design for a loquat syrup launch.
The result: A full strategic brand identity — delivered in one week.
When the founder of JENGZ booked a call with us, he had a clear ask: he needed packaging for his product. He had a product he believed in, a vision for the brand, and a launch on the horizon. What he didn't have was a brand that could do it justice.
The logo and visual identity he'd been working with had been generated by AI. It looked okay on screen. But it wasn't strategic. It didn't have personality. And deep down, he knew it wasn't something he'd be proud to put on a shelf. I knew it too — within the first few minutes of their call.
So instead of patching up the packaging, we offered him something different: Brand in a Week. A complete, strategic brand identity — built from scratch, delivered in seven days. His response was honest: "I can't believe you can do all of that in one week."

The work
Over five days, we built the entire JENGZ brand — not just a logo, but a full visual world. The brand centres around a bold, memorable idea: Make Loquat Iconic. The mission isn't just to sell syrup — it's to introduce an entire ingredient to people who've never tasted it and make them fall in love with it.
Every design decision served that mission:
Lolo, the mascot — a warm, characterful bird illustration — became the heart of the brand. He brings personality, approachability, and a subtle nod to loquat's connection to voice and storytelling (loquat has long been used in traditional cough remedies). He's not just cute. He means something.
The packaging took a considered direction: a cream label on an amber bottle — lighter, more approachable, easier to understand at a glance. Important for a product introducing an unfamiliar ingredient to new buyers.
By Wednesday — three days in — the full brand concept was presented.
The founder's feedback? "Love love love it!"
By Thursday, he had everything.

The Results
Jeff walked away with far more than packaging. He walked away with a brand — one with a clear identity, a memorable mascot, a considered visual system, and the confidence to launch.
He was so happy with the outcome that he immediately booked us to design and build his full Shopify website. That project is currently underway.
"I can't believe you brought exactly what I had in my head to life so quickly."
